Prior to CarbeniumTec our CEO published more than 50 scientific publications and filed for several patent applications; our COO founded multiple companies to advance renewable energy; and our CFO has been a financial executive at leading global companies in the public and private sectors 

Prof. Thomas L. Gianetti

CEO and Co-Founder

Dr. Gianetti is an associate professor at the University of Arizona. He received his degrees from CPE Lyon, an engineering school in France, with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in chemistry and chemical engineering. He then pursued his Ph.D. studies at the University of California, Berkeley, under the guidance of professors John Arnold and Bob Bergman, followed by a post-doctoral position at the ETH Zürich with Professor Grützmacher. During his career, he has acquired strong expertise in inorganic and organic chemistry, catalysis, energy storage and electrochemical analysis. He received numerous awards, authored more than 45 scientific papers and seven patent applications.

Dr. Phil Lacovara

COO and Co-Founder

Dr. Lacovara trained as a physicist at the University of Chicago and Boston College and enjoyed a successful career in laser and optical sensor research at Los Alamos National Lab, the US Naval Research Lab, MIT Lincoln Lab, and in industry.  In 2000 he founded his first company, Ambalux, to develop new optical sensor and communication products and he later formed multiple companies to advance renewable energy.  After successful exits from his other businesses, he is now focused on building Carbeniumtec into a key contributor to our greener future.

Ms. Stacie Dennis

CFO

Mrs. Dennis is a tenured CFO and financial executive with expertise in leading global companies in the public and private sectors to grow shareholder value through a focus on profit generation and strong fiscal controls. Partner to executive team and boards participating in building and executing strategic plans with background in accounting and finance, capital markets, M&A, start-up fundraising, turnaround and restructuring, governance and audit. Mrs. Dennis is a seasoned CFO and advises start-up companies in building up financial operations and in raising funds for topco growth and for project development from FOAK through commercialization. She currently advises for AirCompany, Phoenix Tailings, New Rise Renewables and Carbeniumtec. Most recently she was CFO of LanzaJet, Inc., a biofuels producer developing a first of its kind biofuels refinery to produce sustainable aviation fuel and renewable diesel.

Ms. Jessica Ann

CMO

Jessica's journey to tech storytelling in the fast-paced world of national media, producing for NBC and Sirius XM Radio in Washington, DC. It was there she discovered a crucial gap: brilliant technical innovations were getting lost in translation. Today Jessica partners with technical founders to unlock their full market potential. Her unique methodology combines newsroom experience with strategic vision, helping companies translate complex innovations into compelling market opportunities. A sought-after voice in the tech community, Jessica has Keynoted at Google’s Headquarters in NYC and at SXSW Interactive. She’s the author of the best-selling book Humanize Your Brand: How to Create Content that Connects with Your Customers. She holds a Master’s Degree in Communications from Johns Hopkins University.

Dr. Jules Moutet

Co-founder

Dr. Moutet is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Arizona. He received his Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry from University Joseph Fourier in 2014, and his Ph.D. degree from University Grenoble Alpes (UGA) in 2017. After that, he continued his postdoctoral studies at the Ecole Polytechnique, Palaiseau (l’X) from May 2018 to October 2019. In January 2020 he moved to Arizona to work with Professor Gianetti. Dr. Moutet authored more than 17 scientific papers and two patent applications.

Mr. Gavin E. Patterson

Advisor

Gavin Patterson is a global technology and telecommunications executive with extensive leadership experience in digital infrastructure, enterprise growth, and innovation. He previously served as CEO of BT Group, where he led the expansion of fiber broadband and major strategic initiatives, and later as President and Chief Revenue Officer at Salesforce. He brings deep expertise in scaling technology companies, global partnerships, and commercialization strategy.

Mr. Henry Courtright

Henry "Hank" Courtright is an experienced energy industry executive with over two decades of leadership at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), one of the world’s leading electricity research organizations. He has held senior roles in corporate strategy, energy innovation, sustainability, and grid modernization, and later served in strategic leadership roles at Salt River Project (SRP). He brings deep expertise in utility-scale energy systems, technology commercialization, and long-term energy planning
